They are lush use the all the time

The first Printing of the Black Tiger decks were limited to a run of 5000, which sold out in less 96hrs. They were the first customised deck sold by ellusionist.
All of the first printing were all white piped. They can be distinguished by looking at the bottom of the pack. There will be no barcode and it will state "POKER 808" the second and possibly third print run states "POKER 808 -"

The first printing handled the worst, and ellusionist learned from it to improve the stock and finish on all later decks. (I know as I bought a bricks worth, I still have some if you want a photo for the site)

Mid print run decks had UV-500 coating, which glowed under ultra violet light, however Ellusionist has had to drop this due to the USPCC discontinuing the stock they were made from.

The red piped cards were first printed along with the second printing of the white piped tigers and also did not have a barcode on the bottom. That occurred in later printings.

the example with the first edition black ghost is false. the first edition had different borders, ace of sades, box, seal, celofane, and jokers.

A greatly disappinting deck, full of missed opportunities.

Standard courts? Why not courts using the wealth of characters from the books? students and/or teachers from each house could be on the court of that house's suit!

The Jokers should be Ron's twin brfothers, the pranksters!

Standard Rider back? Why? Why not at least have the cupids riding brooms instead of bicycles?

A blank card as the additional card? How lazy and unimaginative can you get!? It could have been a simulated advertising card for Butterbeer, or for the brothers' joke shop, or chocolate frogs, or tons of other things, or a simulated "Wizard card" like the ones the students collect, or many other things related to the books. But a blank card?

The deck just reeks of someone wanting to make money off of the HP craze and the Bicycle deck craze without putting the thought and effort into it neccesary to make it intelligently connected to either.

The entrepreneur is no longer unknown - Rajas Paranjpe owns and operates Archduke Playing Cards out of Mumbai, India. He recently created an international division of Archduke called Brahma Playing Cards. He's made many appearances at the Discourse - aethercards dot com slash discourse.

There are FIVE versions of this deck. There's the basic red and blue decks, and there's three versions of the Tomohiro Maeda deck: light blue, blue and red. The red and blue Tomohiro Maeda decks are IDENTICAL on the outside from the "standard" red and blue gold-bordered decks, right down to the same bar code; aside from getting them from a reputable, trusted dealer, the only way to know for certain if it's a Maeda deck would be to open it.

These are the best Non-USPC cards. In fact many including me believe that they are superior than many USPC decks in terms of quality, finish and design.
The design is outstanding , the box looks cheeky but i really liked it.
The finish is extraordinary , one can feel the grains on the board if you rub cards against each other. I am sure many will be waiting for new designs and newer finishes from this company.
Archduke Cards looks a small company as we do not see any flashy videos/promos of new playing cards that come out in the market. I am fed up of paying $ to such custom decks like those found on t11 or E.
It feels t11 & E only change the design and get same finish/paper with disguised names.
The Archduke Eagles finish " Quantum Grain Finish" is the real deal breaker. I have been performing magic with good cards for years but have never come across such fantastic finish.
There is only 1 con that is the box is bit small and sometimes it difficult to put cards inside.
All is all the Archduke Eagles outperform any custom deck out there.

I love this deck and if it wasn't limited I would use it every day. Currently there are 3 other Artifice decks at Ellusionist: 2nd edition: Cobalt Blue, and Emerald which are respectively blue and green and which feature white borders. There is also a rare Red Arcane deck, border less and in limited quantity.

I'm so sad that they are that expensive. :(

by Fuji (guest), 02 Oct 2011 11:52

The problem seems to be on their end, as I can't even enter their english translated site (at difatta.it clicking on the british flag). Hopefully they'll fix it soon.

Minor problem with the Vincenzo Di Fatta link. It throws a PHP error in the pop-up window.

I really enjoy this wiki and encourage to keep up the good work…
Just so you know, the 2 and 3 of spades are reversed in the picture above. I believe all the other cards are arranged correctly.

Of the three colors, the blue version is by far the rarest. Its estimated that only 2000 blue Split Spades were produced. The Joker cards are interesting in that the man's face spells the word "Liar".
